NYSPHSAA Ice Hockey State Championships Return to HARBORCENTER

State Semifinals Played March 11, Finals on March 12

 

LATHAM, NY - The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) has announced its schedule for the 2017 NYSPHSAA Ice Hockey State Tournament at the HARBORCENTER in Buffalo on March 11-12. This is the second year of a three-year contract at HARBORCENTER.

 

This will be the 37th year NYSPHSAA has conducted its Ice Hockey state tournament, 28 of which were held at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.  Below is the tournament schedule. Please note, semifinal games are different from last year’s scheduled times:

 

Saturday, March 11, 2017

9:30 am           Division 2 Semifinals – Brockport vs. Pelham Memorial

11:45 pm         Division 2 Semifinals – St Lawrence vs. Beekmantown

2:00 pm           Division 1 Semifinals – Williamsville North vs. Mamaroneck          

4:15 pm           Division 1 Semifinals – Pittsford vs. Massena

Noon               Division 2 Final

3:00 pm           Division 1 Final

 

Tickets for all tournament games are $8 per day and can be purchased at the door or by visiting www.gofan.co/nysphsaa.  For full brackets of the NYSPHSAA Ice Hockey State Championships (including State quarterfinals), visit www.nysphsaa.org.

 

Last year, Mamaroneck won its 1st state championship in Division 1 while Kenmore East won the Division 2 championship.  Massena will be making its 7th state tournament appearance while Williamsville North will be making its 4th appearance.
