Each week, we share a rundown from around the state of the top “Milk Moves” of the week as nominated by our member schools, coaches, media partners, and fans. No matter the sport, we want to share the accomplishments of NYSPHSAA student-athletes!
Girls Volleyball: Rachel Chapman (Churchville-Chili) racked up 26 kills and 22 digs in a five-set win over Webster Thomas.
Field Hockey: Liz Frank (Saratoga) scored two goals and added two assists in a 4-0 win over Guilderland.
Girls Soccer: Calista Heister (Olean) scored five goals in a win over Dunkirk, becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer with 129 career goals.
Girls Swimming & Diving: Kim Jogis (Mamaroneck) won the 500 Freestyle with a blistering a state-qualifying time of 5:01.01.
Boys Volleyball: Cole Kuckzek (Brighton) tallied 53 assists in a close 3-2 win over Canandaigua Academy.
Boys Soccer: Nate Neudeck (Hamburg) posted 10 saves in a 1-0 shutout victory against Williamsville East.
Girls Tennis: Lauren Skibitski (Oneida) won her match against Liverpool with scores of 6-0, 6-2 to pick up her 100th career win.
Football: Joe Tortello (Holy Trinity) was 17-18 through the air, throwing for 376 yards and connecting for eight touchdown passes in a big win over Canajoharie/Fort Plain. His 8 TD performance tied a state record.
