Outstanding athletic performance is evidence of practice, superior physical conditioning and good nutrition. Each week, we share a rundown from around the state of the top “Milk Moves” of the week as nominated by our member schools, coaches, media partners, and fans. No matter the sport, we want to share the accomplishments of NYSPHSAA student-athletes!
Boys Golf: Aidan Fitzgerald (Albany Academy) got himself a hole in one in a win over Guilderland. Fitzgerald aced the ninth hole at Western Turnpike golf course in the 53-stroke win.
Girls Volleyball: Claire Isaken (Burnt Hills) tallied 41 assists in a big win over Shenendehowa.
Football: Trevor Yeboah-Kodie (Garden City) racked up 256 yards and five touchdowns on just 10 carries to lead Garden City to victory over Bellmore JFK.
Girls Swimming & Diving: Catherine Stanford (Oceanside) won both the 50 Freestyle (23.94) and 100 Freestyle (52.75), posting state-qualifying times and the best times in the state so far this season in both events.
Girls Soccer: Hannah Sugden (Belleville-Henderson) scored five goals and added five assists in a high-scoring win over Alexandria.
Football: Tyler Szalkowski (Aquinas) went 23-28 and threw for 484 yards and seven touchdowns in a 49-21 win over St. Joseph’s.
Cross Country: Katelyn Tuohy (North Rockland) won the 5k event at the Ocean State Invitational in a course-record time of 16:06:87.
