Welcome to “Milk Moves of the Week” sponsored by Refuel With Chocolate Milk from the American Dairy Association North East! Outstanding athletic performance is evidence of practice, superior physical conditioning and good nutrition. Each week, we share a rundown from around the state of the top “Milk Moves” of the week as nominated by our member schools, coaches, media partners, and fans. No matter the sport, we want to share the accomplishments of NYSPHSAA student-athletes!

Girls Volleyball: Chloe Croft (Candor) peppered nearly every column of the stat sheet, recording 19 points, 5 aces, 19 digs, and 35 assists in a close 3-2 win over Waverly.

Girls Soccer: Amanda Godfrey (Fort Ann) scored five goals and added three assists in a big 8-1 win over Ticonderoga.

Girls Swimming & Diving: Emily Gjertsen (Bronxville-Tuckahoe) swam the 500 Freestyle in 5:00.40 on Friday, qualifying for states and setting the best time in the state so far this season.

Boys Soccer: Conner Golley (Allegany-Limestone) posted his 43rd career shutout, setting a new Section VI record.

Football: Kevon Hall (Roosevelt) rushed for 363 yards and six touchdowns on 27 carries in a high-scoring 44-35 win over Valley Stream North.

Cross Country: RJ Pleasants (Half Hallow Hills East) won the boys B division at the Suffolk Coaches Invitational, recording a time of 16:42.72 in the 5k race.

Girls Volleyball: Allie Posnick (Solvay) posted 34 assists and 20 digs in a 3-2 comeback win over Marcellus.

Field Hockey: Kim Tarbox (Windsor) was a brick wall between the pipes, racking up 14 saves in a big win over Tioga.
