Milk Moves of the Week - Oct 2, 2019

Welcome back to our “Milk Moves of the Week” sponsored by Refuel With Chocolate Milk from the American Dairy Association North East! Outstanding athletic performance is evidence of practice, superior physical conditioning and good nutrition. Each week, we share a rundown from around the state of the top “Milk Moves” of the week as nominated by our member schools, coaches, media partners, and fans. No matter the sport, we want to share the accomplishments of NYSPHSAA student-athletes!
 

Girls Volleyball: Cayla Boller (Mount Academy) did it all in a win over Red Hook, recording 16 kills, 5 digs, 3 aces, and a block.

Girls Cross Country: Faith DeMars (Ballston Spa) captured the Class AA race at the McQuaid Invitational running a 5k in 17:52.8.

Girls Soccer: Samantha Haley (Central Square) had 19 saves in a big 3-2 win over top-ranked Jamesville-Dewitt.

Football: Aidan Kaminska (Port Jefferson) racked up 17 receptions for 233 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in a tough loss to Mount Sinai, setting a new Section XI record and ranking 2nd all-time in NYS for receptions in a single game.

Boys Cross Country: Sam Lawler (Pittsford Mendon) posted the day’s fastest time for Class AA, finishing the 3-mile race in 14:54.7.

Boys Soccer: Nate Neudeck (Hamburg) made four saves and earned his 27th career shutout in a win over West Seneca East, extending his school record for career shutouts.

Girls Swimming and Diving: Elle Noecker (Eden) broke two school records as an eighth grader, swimming the 100 butterfly in :58.80 and the 100 backstroke in :59.79.

Field Hockey: Jordan Willis (South Glens Falls) scored 5 goals in a 6-1 win over Glens Falls.
