What is LIFE of an ATHLETE?

LIFE of an ATHLETEA program that joins athletes, parents and coaches to advocate the non-use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

Who are LIFE of an ATHLETE trainers?

Coaches, athletic administrators and teachers representing every section in the NYSPHSAA, Inc. who have received NYSPHSAA, Inc. approved training to present programs that focus on responding to chemical use problems, preventing further chemical use problems and promoting chemical health for athletes, parents and coaches.

What can LIFE of an ATHLETE trainers do for you?

Offer section-wide workshops for athletes, parents, coaches and administrators.

  • Conduct on-site mini-clinics.
  • Facilitate preseason meetings for coaches, parents and athletes.
  • Develop plans of action.
  • Speak on a variety of topics.

  • Recognize the nature and extent of chemical use among athletes and other students.
  • Identify the role of athletes, administrators, coaches and parents in responding to chemical use problems.
