On Saturday, March 5th the 2022 NYSPHSAA Competitive Cheerleading Championships were led at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Section V. Nearly 60 teams competed in five classifications to vie for the title of state champion. Preliminary rounds were held for Division 1 Large, Division 1 Small, Division 2 Large, Division 2 Small and Co-Ed with all of those classes paired down to a top five in each category.
