The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) returns to the LECOM Harborcenter in Buffalo to host the Boys Ice Hockey Championships on March 11-12. LECOM Harborcenter has been the host of this tournament since 2016.

“This is a very exciting time of year for all winter sports and boys ice hockey is no exception,” said Scott Stuart, the NYSPHSAA Boys Ice Hockey State Coordinator. “Teams have battled all year for the top spot in their section and the opportunity to move on and challenge for the big prize. We had very competitive matchups between outstanding programs in regional games and now have a great Final Four weekend ahead. Only one team in each division will be crowned state champion but the competition and the great memories these student-athletes experience will last forever.”

In 2022, Suffern (Section I) went home with the state championship in Division 1. That marks their third state championship and the first one since 2012. In Division 2, Pelham (Section I) claimed the title, who last won a championship in 2017. Both teams will be returning to the tournament this year.

Here are the teams competing this weekend:

Division 1 Division 2
Clarkstown Saranac
Suffern Pelham Memorial
West Genesee Salmon River
Pittsford Skaneateles

Tickets can be purchased ONLY online at www.gofan.co/NYSPHSAA. The cost is $11.50 (including fees) for a single day.
