NYSPHSAA is now accepting bids to host the first ever Girls Flag Football Championship starting in 2024 through 2026. Girls Flag Football is currently being played across the state as a regional championship event. Starting in 2024 Girls Flag Football will be a NYSPHSAA championship event. 

This is one of the fastest growing sports in our state and we are excited to host the first ever state championship for Girls Flag Football.

EVENT REQUIREMENTS:
- One turf field with stadium lighting. Field must have lines and dimensions in accordance with National Federation of High School Association (NFHS) rules. Flag football lines must be chalked or painted to be clearly visible.
- Seating to accommodate a minimum of 1,000 spectators.
- Team bench areas to accommodate a minimum of 35 people each.
- Public address system to make announcements.
- Water provided at each bench area.
- Minimum of two team locker rooms that can accommodate at least 30 players each.
- Locker room or changing area for officials.
- Concession and restroom facilities in close proximity to championship site.
- Parking plan for team buses and fans.
- Ability to secure site and charge admission.
- The Americans with Disabilities Act requires that public establishments offer equal access and services to people who are physically and mentally disabled. The NYSPHSAA will rely on host sites to confirm compliance with the act by their facilities.
- NYSPHSAA Championships are alcohol- and tobacco-free environments. All alcohol, tobacco, and gambling advertisements visible from the competition or seating areas must be removed or covered at the expense of the venue.

PREFERRED: - Two turf fields, at least one with stadium lighting.
- Four team locker rooms that can accommodate at least 30 players each.
- Hospitality area for staff and committee.
- Training room for medical treatments.
- Press box or media work area with access to power.
