Latham, NY - The New York State Public High School Athletic Association is proud to celebrate Assistant Director Todd Nelson, who is part of the 13 leaders across the country awarded for the 2024 NFHS Citation Award. 

The award highlights those who have contributed to the NFHS, and is regarded as one of the highest achievements in the interscholastic athletics and perfoming arts arena.
 
"Todd Nelson’s passion and enthusiasm for student-athletes certainly makes him deserving of this prestigious NFHS recognition" says NYSPHSAA Executive Director Dr. Robert Zayas. "Todd has been instrumental in the progress of NYSPHSAA and the development of Unified athletics, Girls Wrestling, and Girls Flag Football."

Nelson was honored as the Section 1 recipient. Section 1 holds the New England region in the United States.
