New York State Public High School Athletic Association Partners with Arthrex to Advance Sports Medicine Education and Athlete Health

Latham, NY: The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) is proud to announce a new sponsorship with Arthrex, a global leader in minimally invasive surgical technology and sports medicine innovation. The agreement will focus on enhancing sports medicine education and promoting injury prevention resources for student-athletes, coaches and athletic trainers across the state of New York.
Arthrex will provide educational support and access to resources designed to advance the understanding of sports injuries, particularly anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) prevention and recovery. This initiative reinforces the NYSPHSAA's mission to ensure the health, safety and success of every student-athlete on and off the field.
“Arthrex has long been at the forefront of medical innovation and athlete care, “said NYSPHSAA Executive Director Dr. Robert Zayas. “NYSPHSAA is excited to have Arthrex educate and empower our communities with the latest information and technologies to help protect student-athletes and promote safe participation in sports.”
“Our sponsorship with the NYSPHSAA is an important step toward enhancing education and preventing sports injuries among student-athletes,” said Jake Jolly, Arthrex Senior Director of Product Management, Knee and Hip Arthroscopy. “Through resources like ACLTear.com and OrthoPedia Patient, we’re making it easier for athletes, parents and coaches to access trusted, clinically proven information on injury prevention, treatment options and recovery strategies. With approximately 400,000 ACL reconstructions performed annually in the U.S., empowering young athletes with knowledge is key to protecting their health and ensuring a strong future—both on and off the field.”

As part of the agreement, NYSPHSAA coaches, trainers and student-athletes will have access to Arthrex’s educational content and the ACLTear.com platform, which highlights prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation options for common knee injuries.
