“Anticipating another great year of State Championship baseball in the Binghamton area. This will be the first year utilizing a double first base, I'll be interested to see how our student athletes adjust to this rule change,” State Coordinator Al Roy stated. “As always looking to see some great high school baseball and good luck to all the participating schools and their fans.”

In Class AAA, Niagara Falls (Section VI) enters the 2026 state tournament with unfinished business after falling just short of a championship appearance last season, suffering a semifinal defeat to eventual state champion Saratoga Springs (Section II). Their journey begins on June 12 at 4:00 PM, when they face Liverpool (Section III) in the first-Class AAA semifinal.

Also returning to the state semifinals is Massapequa (Section VIII), another 2025 semifinalist seeking redemption after its championship hopes were cut short last season. This year, Massapequa will take on Monroe-Woodbury (Section IX) in the second-Class AAA semifinal on June 12 at 7:00 PM, with a spot in the state championship game on the line.

The Class AA bracket features several familiar contenders, including West Genesee (Section III), which returns to the state semifinals after its championship run ended in the semifinal round a year ago. Rounding out the Class A field is Marlboro Central (Section IX), returning from last year’s tournament, as they prepare to face Plainedge (Section VIII) in the second semifinal matchup. That contest will also be held on June 12, with a 7:00 PM starting time.

The Class B semifinals are set, highlighted by Medina (Section VI), which returns to the state final four after making a run in last year’s tournament. They will be joined by Notre Dame (Section III), June 12 at 1:00 PM at Binghamton University, setting up a competitive matchup as both programs look to advance to championship weekend.

In the other semifinal, Chester (Section IX) will take on Center Moriches (Section XI) on June 12 at 1:00 PM at Binghamton University, with both teams aiming to secure a spot in the Class B title game.

The Class C semifinals feature a full field of returning contenders, with all four teams back from last year’s tournament. Leading the group is former state champion Saratoga Central Catholic (Section 2), who return to the semifinal stage and will face Tuckahoe (Section I) on June 12 at 1:00 PM at Mirabito Stadium.

In the other semifinal, Kendall (Section V) and Ticonderoga (Section VII) square off in an all-returner matchup. That game is scheduled for June 12 at 10:00 AM, also at Mirabito Stadium, with both programs looking to punch their ticket to the Class C title game.

The Class D semifinals feature the 2025 defending state champions Oriskany (Section III), who return to the final four with hopes of repeating as state title winners. They will face Fillmore (Section V) in one semifinal matchup, setting the stage for a strong opening contest in the bracket.
