2027 Student Leadership Interest Survey
Opens: October 1, 2026
Deadline to submit: December 11, 2026


This one day event is for current 10th and 11th graders and will help students sharpen their leadership skills and more positively influence their teams, athletic departments, schools, and communities. The interest survey will be shared with Athletic Directors. After the deadline to submit, the interest survey list will be shared with the sections who will determine their student attendees. Sections will then provide the attendee list to NYSPHSAA by the end of January. Once the sections determine attendees, NYSPHSAA will reach out with further information. Please note, students will only be contacted if they are selected to attend. Overnight accommodations will be available upon request of the section. Event registration, transportation, and accommodations will be free to the student, but certain costs will be incurred by sections and may be passed along to schools (e.g. transportation, food costs during travel). A tentative schedule is below. 

Wednesday, April 7, 2027
- Arrive with section to Hilton Albany for overnight stay (if applicable)
- 7:45 PM - Welcome Event 

Thursday, April 8, 2027
7:30 AM - Breakfast - Thank you to CP Sportswear!
8:15 AM - Welcome
8:30 AM -  TBD
9:30 AM -11:30 AM - Breakout Sessions
11:30 AM - Lunch
12:30 - 2:30 PM - Breakout Sessions
2:30 PM - NYSPHSAA SAAC Presentation/Closing Session
3:15 PM - Depart

Breakout sessions will feature the following presenters, each leading a 45-minute discussion/activity:
